BROKEN WINGS

With a hungry heart & a pretty smile,
You broke the rules ; You laid it down for all to see,
I showed you everything by nothing to hide,
And you stabbed my back in the night of full-moon tide......

A pretty face may last for a year or two,
But you'll eventually fathom out the ones who really love you,
Why did you do it that way ? When you knew I'd drift away,
And the stars still shine on as I pray....

Burning tears are rolling down my cheek,
True friendship is always what I seek,
Our shadows never leave us alone ; Hold the Bible in your hands,
And all you'll have is to find yourself in Lord's lands....

I cry for my shadow in rain,
Her lingering memories sets me rolling in pain,
Does she know ? I really don't wanna show... (my pain)

The winds blow with mists of grief,
Postcards from paradise convey pain in brief,
Does she know ? I really don't wanna show... (my fear)

I'm drowning in hatred's sea & as well, her feelings freeze,
She acts like she doesn't know me & sets sail on a steel breeze,
Does she know ? But I do wanna show... (my feelings) 

                                     In Lord's Hands

What will suffice for a true love-knot?
They've stolen even the sunshine,
Our glosses waiting in this,
Wouldn't you miss me at all ?

How did the enemy love thee with ?
With water ? air ? or fire ? 
My baby came with her big eyes,
And I knew I was in for a big surprise.....

The farther one travels,
The more she knows,
What 'bout the promise you made ?
The one you made to me at the altar of  dignity..
